"I think that ironically Lieberman is the last sincere Republican left. I mean, I think he really believes in the policies he suppports, and didn't support them based on political calculation. That contrast with the corrupt, calculating conservatives in the GOP who never do anything except out of self-interest.

Needless to say I think those policies are utter failures and are the result of conservative cheap labor thinking, so I'm glad he will leave the field soon. His failed ideas belong in the GOP, not the Democratic party."

1. I don't buy that characterization

I think Lieberman has his eye on the bottom line, same as everybody else - look at his speeches running for the Presidency; his performance in the debates.
