Wouldn't you use every tactic in the book to win? I mean it is life or death....

1. You do what you can do with what you have
That is the essence of warfare is it not?
What is the saying? All is fair in love in war.

And the guerrilla fighters against the giant British machine and their snappy uniforms and fifes and drums.

hell yes, a fight is a fight.

12. I liked the way we colonists blew ourselves up in London
teashops. It was very effective.

3. Up to and including firing rockets at civilians?
Hard to say. Or having youth strap bombs on their chest and blow themselves up in fast food joint or busses? I don't know.

I guess I'd like to think I wouldn't go that far.

But if other people would, that's their choice.

4. Exactly.
Unless the two sides want to go back to the old way and have the leaders fight it out. Fat chance.

It is always the stronger side that complains that the weaker is fighting unfairly. Well, tough shit.

5. I wouldn't, but people will do that
It is what will and does happen. It's predictable.

In particular, the charge that "terrorists" use innocents as shields by mixing in with innocents, is idiotic. They are supposed to go one on one against fighter jets and tanks, standing alone in a field? Obviously not. That's why they are "terrorists" and the people reigning death and terror down on populations with fighre jets are "not terrorists".

10. They're supposed to
give up, if they haven't got the military might, and spare their own civilians.

6. Like, slaughtering the enemy in their beds on a holiday usually
considered a day of truce? Or how about hiding behind trees and rocks and shooting at larger forces marching down the street? Or maybe invading a rebel land and inflicting extreme damage on their homes, crops, and businesses to remove their ability to maintain an army?

9. I Would Draw The Line
at intentionally targeting innocents

"Or how about hiding behind trees and rocks and shooting at larger forces marching down the street?"

That's good old fashioned subterfuge.

11. That's a line America has never drawn in a war.
Granted, there weren't large civilian populations we could attack in the Revolution or 1812, but we've always attacked civilian populations. Our bombings during WW II were horrific, and not just the two nuclear bombs we dropped. And often we weren't even the underdog, as in Viet Nam (though we lost anyway).

Not saying it's right. But we do it. We have no stones we can cast.

14. lets see how we fought the revolutionary war against brittian
and why we won.

i have been telling boys from day one,.... of course they arent going to play by the same rules facing an army like ours. what sense does that make. people act like they are cheating.

i condone none of it. none of this is good, none of it will be resolved by killing. a waste of death. we had an obligation to address this in a different manner. we failed
