Krispy Creme Donuts going to Indonesia! Wow

Krispy Creme is going to open 20 stores in Indonesia over the next 5 years.

Wow!

I hate Krispy Creme donuts. Our HyVee almost did away with their pastry department and put in all Krispy Creme donuts - and that was a terrible flop.

So much for the important stuff going on in the world today.

But compared to some of our other donuts places here those donuts just sucked.

We had Lamars which were the best. But then he died and his places sold out. But I think they still make the same donuts just under a different name. The are really good.

Seems there's always a big Krispy-kraze whenever one of these opens up, and then all the hoopla dies down and people realize the donuts are actually not that good and they close up shop. That's what happened here in CA central valley at least.

A phrase from a song by the gonuts.

The gonuts are a snack themed rock band that I've seen a couple of times. Their agenda is to promote snackism to the world, in particular they address the distinct lack of cheese in the Asian diet.

The usual climax to their show is when two "go"-rillas, each manning a highspeed fan, throw donuts etc. into the fans, covering the audience with a fine mist of powdered sugar and hydroginated vegetable shortening infused spongey dough.

I believe they might be using krispy kreme as part of a proxy war.

It's a weird chain. I drive down the road sometimes and I see people who've bought many dozens of Krispy Kreme donuts and they sell them at a marked up price for church fundraisers or something. And these are in places that are two hour drives from the nearest Krispy Kremes.
