Only the neocons could succeed
In elevating the standing of terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hizbollah in the middle east. Now - Hizbollah and Hamas are seen as the ONLY opponents to western domination in the middle east--and the Arabs are flocking to them. The US is the kiss of death in the middle east now -- along with Israel.

See - if wingnuts like Hizbollah are beginning to sound reasonable freedom fighters --then you KNOW you have screwed up totally.

Nasrallah is pretty shrewd actually. They did mostly observe the 48 hr ceasefire - even while Israel did not. And he had issued a statement stating that if Israel bombs Lebanon--then Hizbollah will bomb Israel. If Israel bombs their capital--than Hizbollah will bomb their capital. And that he was willing to go soldier to soldier. This goes against the propeganda of Hizbollah hiding using civilian shields.

So now Israel and the US by proxy are beginning to sound totally unreasonable -- with their statement for every 1 rocket that is dropped--10 buildings in Lebanon will be destroyed.

Only neocons could succeed making Hizbollah look better than the state of Israel.

Something to be proud of. (sarcasm)

1. If you think Hezbollah is fighting for what we call freedom
You've got a problem.

2. What I think does not matter
It is what the Arab world thinks that matters. And the invasion of Lebanon by Israel has elevated Hizbollah status in Arab eyes.

4. so are we supposed to kneel
and let the arabs do us in the butt? there is a right side and a wrong side. does that excuse their violence against the west? i've been in paris, rome, madrid, and london...all sites of arab violence against innocents.

5. There is no right side
Nice try though.

You are blowing terrorist attacks all out of proportion by the response. When Timothy McVeigh succeeded in murdering hundreds of innocents.....what nation was bombed to oblivion??????

And please - Arabs are not the only terrorists. I recall several Israeli terror attacks in the past as well.

Which is why I go back to my original subject statement - there is no right side. ESPECIALLY when violent acts are met with war crimes.

6. It's not against Arabs - it's ideology
We have our extremists but they don't train militias. Our religious institutions are limited by constitutional rights wherever we live.

The sides are not equivalent

8. those groups are a response to the disproportionate pressure
the US and Israel apply in the region, since even before *

the more pressure the more active and prevalent they will become, imho.

time for some political jujitsu, imho.
