I haven't spent this much time on a post in a long time. And several posts have argued this subject. But I think it's time we put members here on record with a recorded vote.

Does it take a headline like BUSH DEAD to get 100 responses around here? Or can we indicate some support for a great show of unity?

We need a real numbers count. Who wants to take active action?

Is it YES OR NO? Do you finally have enough outrage to vent your voice in the most utopian symbolic way? Invoking the memory initiating the very birth of our Fourth of July holiday and the reason people absolutely MUST vote Democratic in this coming election ?

If you do, you will get behind the tea trumps tyranny symbolism and help this become a reality.

I recommend kicking off in October is perfect. There will be plenty of attention getting headlines during the period approaching September 11th. This new unveiling would just get lost in that saturation.

I believe we should go on a relentless full court press, media blasting the tea bag mantra starting October 1st. This will give us time to put a real no-nonsense seriousness behind this perfect symbol of our rage.

It should be co-ordinated so that our mailings reach the entities with the greatest "ripple effect", such as the major newspapers and television news channels. I suggest these are the people who should receive it. Third parties, not the objects of our furor such as the White House who will just suppress any evidence of it. Make the republicans learn of it through humiliation they can't control. Make our news stations and newspapers see enough volume of incoming envelopes that they can't ignore it, and have no choice to report it.

Optimistically then it picks up national momentum and tea bag signs start showing up haunting every republican’s speech. Our Dem electees could start repeating the victory visual reminding everyone of our ancestors necessary demand from repression by another King.

What did the history books record preserving that event in the history books? The dumping of their precious tea in Boston Harbor.

One full month of forcing republicans to hear this and look at it will be just as sweet as General Patton giving a pep rally.

Look at the effect of the kiss float plaguing left wing missing Lieberman.

The worst thing we could do is peak too early. A crescendo is always timed to climax at the end.

If we do this right reminding America of the tyranny we must overthrow once again, we can be standing in our living rooms waving our tea bags in wild jubilance on election night. And we can know we had a part.

But we sure as hell can't do it with only 50 people. There are supposed to be 90,000 Dem proponents registered on this damn board. Where are you? WE NEED TO SHOW THERE IS POWER IN THIS GROUP ! ...Or we prove just exactly the opposite .

Is it too much to spend a couple bucks worth of postage, address the envelopes and put a tea bag in it ? Plus take a magic marker and write a few short words or put in any picture of Boston Harbor ? The note registers your voice and the tea enforces an indelible visual. Is that too much to do ?

Goddamitt, let's start a groundswell movement on this thing, get it to the blogs, our radio venues, and really visually symbolize that we stand together for a change. We have the time. And we can do this!! Let our fellow citizens also feel good to start saying WE AIN'T GONNA TAKE THIS NO MORE !!!!



No more bankrupting America and then allowing your puke corporate contributor crony banks to bankrupt Americans !!!

No more three dollar gas !!!

No more medicare prescription drug bills that force a choice between food or medicine.

No more senselessly injured, or dead bodies of innocent kids rolling down conveyor belts at Dover, Delaware from Iraq

And no SEVENTH year of blocking the Democrat agenda trying to lift the struggling and starving from Republican gestapo policies that are heading this country straight to devastating economic and military ruin.

6. THERE IS A COORDINATED EFFORT

Actually there is a coordinated effort brewing (pun fully intended...lol :7) There have been at least 180 visitors to the site: www.johnlisainmilo.com. Mr. Coffee and others are coordinating the effort. The date, so far as I know remains October 1, 2006. Stand up people.....Lets all get on the same page. We need your support? Are you with us? As usual, everybody has different views. Giving it more thought, I personally don't think it has any merit going to the groups or locations that are our targets to overthrow. They will do everything they can to make sure they suppress any evidence of a coordinated movement.

I believe our envelopes should go to the "neutral" media; the prominent newspapers, the most watched news channels sans Fox. Even your local paper if the town has a fairly large population.

Imagine even just 20,000 envelopes coming in, all with tea bags and hand written statements referencing our ancestors who made history showing their outrage dumping tea in the ocean to claim their freedom from another King. And we are following their footsteps on November 2nd to start the process of claiming freedom from our current King.

Tea trumped tyranny in 1773 and in November, we shall honor their memory and it shall be our battle symbol again.

This will have to raise some eyebrows and show there is real anger out here. But if there are 100 envelopes, we won't even be a dust speck on the radar screen.

I have no idea what the answer is, but this tea bag thing ain't gonna do it.

makes sense and won't conflict with other things, like 9/11, and it's right before the mid-terms, but we need to get numbers of people to do this.
