And that's huge since we almost certainly pick up the seat if Laffey defeats him next month. Whitehouse leads Laffey by double digits in the polling of that hypothetical matchup.

Chafee crossed over and voted against the minimum wage/estate tax bill tonight. That can't help him in the primary.
