2 night ago I saw a John Hagee broadcast that is shocking.

Today I have seen Hagee's name mentioned a number of times in posts but no mention of a chilling broadcast I saw.

First let me say I do not watch Christian TV so its a fluke I caught this bizarre broadcast.

What initially caught my eye was Benny Hinn holding Jewish Prayer shawl. I thought it strange to I listened in. Hinn was saying that Christians who had these shawls and were using them were finding that their prayers were being mightily strengthened, that the shawls had power. Christian sentiments were embodirdered at either ends of the shawl which made the shawls extra speical.

I then changed channels but came back later curious to see what else he was saying. But lo and behold Hagee's show just started and it was quite the production. Behind Hagee were US and Israeli flags. It was a very somber setting.

I can't recall his introductory comments about US and Israel but they lead into his preaching to a large congregation. And the topic? The unspeakable evil of anti-semitism and that it needed to be stamped out. Hagee went through a list of Christians writers, starting back to Christ's crucification and excoriated each writer/theologian for anti-semitic remarks. To drive the points home he would say each of these writiers were no different from Islamic suicide bombers and that their comments about Jews was like their strapping on bombs around their waste.


I couldn't stomach watching the entire spectacle but as I have thought about it seems that Xhristian fundies have started on an all out campaign to bolster Israel's standing in the fundie community.

12. I have heard about Xhristians having ants in their pants in

anticipation of glory days. But haveing read some posts over the last several days I think their is also something less theological afoot. Zonkers posted the following article which is really worth the read. Besides addressing the fundie fantacism it has some chilling and illuminating observations, such as:
