I stopped believing & trusting the govt. in Nov. 1963
Of course, I was only 12 at the time, but I was pretty good in civics and history and world events, and I remember the day they murdered Kennedy that something fishy was going on. I was too young to formulate it too clearly, but it grew over the years.

Then years later, I was watching t.v. and saw the Zapruder Film, which had been hidden for years, and my distrust went into high gear.

Then Reagan's coup de tat, then daddy bush, then the ape man, to the present day.

The only difference in me between then and now is that not only do I not trust or believe my own government, I fear the fuck out of them.

2. Nixxxxxxxxxon ... but at least we had a MEDIA back then to compensate
I almost became (should have become) a journalist because of the heroics of Woodward and Bernstein.

3. Unfortunately, that is a Republican outlook.
Divide and conquer the people, of course, but first remember to turn people away from a democratically elected government.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
