Sept. 11 Investigations Still Going On
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 04:07 PM by cal04
Five years after the Sept. 11 attacks, investigators are still looking into the government's response to the hijackings, specifically to determine why aviation and military officials inaccurately reported their performance on that day.

The Defense Department inspector general will soon release a report into whether the military's testimony to the Sept. 11 commission was ``knowingly false,'' Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Brian Maka said Thursday.

The counterpart office at the Transportation Department has completed and is writing a report on whether Federal Aviation Administration officials misspoke in their testimony, said David Barnes, the inspector general's spokesman.

Sept. 11 panel members have said that timelines on the tapes did not match accounts given in testimony by government officials and have asked for the two investigations.

The FAA and defense officials have corrected some information originally given to the panel, such as the exact times the FAA notified the military of the hijackings and the military's assertion that it was tracking one of the planes and intended to intercept it when, in fact, the plane had already crashed.

1. And this is coming out now because . . .
Oh yeah, some writer for Vanity Fair actually listened to the tapes made that day, which overwhelmingly show that instead of the pretty public picture the corrupt Bush administration has been painting of their lightning response, the reality is that nobody knew what to do, who was authorized to say or do what, and both the president and vice president were incommunicado when the shit was hitting the fan.

So is lying under oath still an impeachable offense, or did 9/11 change that, too?

11. Bread & Circuses
To continue the illusion, its necessary to put the Democrats back on to the center of the stage for a while.
They will do their dances, speak their lines in front of the cameras, and reward their cronies, but little of substance will change.

The New One World Corporate Government benefitting the few will continue to increase in Power. The Voices of the People will continue to grow weaker.

THIS is the VOICE of the American People (Democrats AND Republicans)!
Where is OUR representation?

In recent polls by the Pew Research Group, the Opinion Research Corporation, the Wall Street Journal, and CBS News, the American majority has made clear how it feels. Look at how the majority feels about some of the issues that you'd think would be gospel to a real Democratic party:

1. 65 percent say the government should guarantee health insurance for everyone -- even if it means raising taxes.

2. 86 percent favor raising the minimum wage (including 79 percent of selfdescribed "social conservatives").

3. 60 percent favor repealing either all of Bush's tax cuts or at least those cuts that went to the rich.

4. 66 percent would reduce the deficit not by cutting domestic spending but by reducing Pentagon spending or raising taxes.

5. 77 percent believe the country should do "whatever it takes" to protect the environment.

6. 87 percent think big oil corporations are gouging consumers, and 80 percent (including 76 percent of Republicans) would support a windfall profits tax on the oil giants if the revenues went for more research on alternative fuels.

7. 69 percent agree that corporate offshoring of jobs is bad for the U.S. economy (78 percent of "disaffected" voters think this), and only 22% believe offshoring is good because "it keeps costs down."

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

10. You know, I'd sort of forgotten that
The atrocities just come so thick and fast, it's difficult to keep track of all of them. But I'm sure the investigators had a super good reason not to examine the president and vice president individually and not to put them under oath, and not to record their testimony.

Oh yeah, the super good reason was to avoid any of those darned old partisan witch hunts if it turned out that George and Dick were peddling a boatload of bullshit to the committee. Reality, after all, has a liberal bias.

9. Actually, when Cheney and the Chimp "testified".......
before 9/11 Commission, they were not under oath. They REFUSED to be sworn in and they were questioned together. Their testimony wasn't recorded and note taking was forbidden.

It's nice to see the Guardian and Vanity Fair (ergo, the MSM) starting to catch up on the 9/11 timeline discrepenacies.

5. Thank you for finding this! Please push media to print this!
ONe of the things I found out, is that by calling the "wire editor" of a newspaper, and giving them the info of where this is published, I have been able to get them to print it in the local newspaper. It's one way to get some of this distributed more.

It's worth trying!

8. I think it would be great if a wave of reports - calling out the liars and
The Bush Administration for the treasonous disservice they've done to the country - would hit the MSM between now and the elections in November. Can you say "clean sweep for the Democrats?"

Oh... I forgot...that voting machine back up plan that's in place... :eyes:

12. So this is what BushCo has been trying to get out in front of this week!
They fucking lied. They lied about the whole damn thing. It is time for the American people to know the truth about the monsters that have taken over our country.

How impossible would it be for the hijackers to have known that NORAD was doing tests that day? Wouldn't they only need to have known 1 person with that knowledge to "give them cover" to execute their plan by having 20 decoys flying around?
