6. Northern NM has been at about $3.20...but
thanks to BushCo and republicon oil crony policies, I have seen a few places where it is already up to $3.30 -- a harbinger.

Thanks a pantload, you treasonous repulicon toadies...

I thought it was mainly because of the big tourist weekend (NASCAR) coming up.

15. It's going to keep going up until Joe SUV stops buying gas
There's no limit.

I'm doing some design work for a high-end import car dealer and noticed a v-12 BMW on his lot. I asked him if people are still buying these gas guzzlers and he said he can't even keep them in stock they sell so fast. That particular car gets 8mpg.. That's 40 cents a mile!

17. Not that bad in central NM
Went from $2.95-3.00 in this hood overnight.

I live away from the interstate, so my prices are about $.20 less than what commuters and travelers will see.

18. Mrs. Wickerman told me it jumped a dime this AM
Haven't seen it myself. 3.09. amazing that we aren't rioting in the streets - everyone knows it gouging and profit taking and we calmly take it. and uh, no, I personally have no idea of how to fight it.

this site has a live feed. http://www.gaspricewatch.com/new/default.asp

We did have a bit of a gas war in one neighborhood a few days ago. The price went down to $2.11 a gal regular.

There was also a big bust by our state Att General a few days ago. A bunch of stations and suppliers were popped for price gouging during Katrina's aftermath. That could be depressing prices right now.
