LOL..Look what the RNCC sent me!
How I got on their mailing list,I'll never know...they are scared

Dear NRCC activist,

Speaking as an insider on congressional campaigns across the country, I am very concerned with the current political climate for Republicans. If the elections were held tomorrow, I believe the Democrats could take control of Congress.

Right now, at least 91 Republican congressional districts are under attack by liberal special interest groups across the country. These groups, often 527’s, are giving the Democrats just the help they need to systematically destroy the campaigns of Republicans.

The Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee are raising unprecedented amounts of money at a record pace. For the first time in recent history, the DCCC is millions of dollars ahead of us with cash on hand. This is a huge warning sign to me that we are in trouble if we do not act quickly.

The Democrats are positioning themselves for a mid-term election takeover and want nothing more than to eliminate our Republican Congressional Majority and destroy the Republican agenda.

While the DCCC is fundraising and helping their Congressional candidates, the left-wing special interest groups are focused on systematically attacking our Republican Congressional candidates. These special interest groups are smearing Republican candidates’ records and reputations with no concern for the truth.

A few of the many candidates under attack by the special interests in all types of media include:

Representative John Sweeney of New York has been attacked with radio ads from the American Civil Liberties Union as well as receiving negative attention from Citizen Action, the Sierra Club and MoveOn.org.
Representative Jim Gerlach of Pennsylvania took harsh criticism from numerous groups including MoveOn.org, Working Families Win, Voices for Working Families and Campaign for a Cleaner Congress.
Representative Chris Chocola of Indiana has been attacked by $170,000 worth of ads from the left-wing MoveOn.org.
As liberal special interest groups and 527’s pour money into targeted districts, the spending discrepancy between Democrats and Republicans continues to grow rapidly.

It is rumored that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has purchased at least $50 million dollars worth of media time with nationwide networks for the fall. That means at least $50 million dollars of anti-Republican advertising will flood the airways over the next 100 days. Not only is there nothing we can do to stop them, we do not have the resources to counteract that much spending. That is why I need your help.

I have never before seen Republicans in such tight races and if we do not act now, we will lose control of Congress this fall.

I need your help today. Our committee is working day and night to provide support to Republican candidates, but it is impossible to answer the DCCC and un-regulated liberal special interest spending without your most generous contribution today at this link. Our committee exists solely on donations from Republicans like you; if we do not have your support right now, our candidates will not have the resources they need leading up to Election Day.

Less than 100 days remain until Election Day. We have to respond to the Democrats and their liberal special interest groups’ fundraising and spending. We cannot wait another day; we must act now. Please go to this link today and help our party in this time of need.

Sincerely,

Mike McElwain
Political Director
National Republican Congressional Committee

P.S. In a little over three months, we must defeat the Democrats on Election Day. But, as of right now, we will not succeed without your immediate help at this secure link. The Democrats and special interest groups will only continue to surpass Republicans in fundraising and spending unless you go to this link and help us today. Thank you.

3. Translation: "Give us money, or... or... or... we'll lose!"
Reading this letter, I don't see a single word about WHY the recipient should support GOP congressional candidates. National security... taxes... the economy... nothing. They're not even bothering to make an argument and state their case for reelection.

They're only playing one trope: give us money, or the evil liberals will win.

Hardly an inspiring plea for action. They're truly, really, genuinely in trouble, folks.

"The Democrats are positioning themselves for a mid-term election takeover and want nothing more than to eliminate our Republican Congressional Majority and destroy the Republican agenda."

It's not the fact that the Democrats want to destroy the Republican agenda -- it's the fact that people who are suffering, financially and otherwise, as a result of the 'Republican agenda' have had enough!

I wonder how many formerly-loyal GOP voters are sending these letters back to them, with the note: "You need money? Go get it from all the billionaires you've given tax breaks to at my expense!"

republi-CON agenda. That's what every loyal, patriotic, democracy-loving, freedom-loving American should be doing, 24/7. For the sake of what's left of our country, our self-respect, our Constitution, our standing around the world, our future, it's an absolute imperative. PRIORITY ONE.

But they'd sure like their donors to be scared so they pungle up more money. The sad thing about this is that they'll scam a bunch of otherwise good people into sending them money they can't afford. If Scaife or Koch money is wasted, I don't really give a flying fig. But the thought of some scared granny in Alabama or some poor janitor in North Dakota sending money to these assholes just pisses me off.

But I think it more likely that they want their supporters to be afraid, afraid, afraid of the big, bad Librul machine that will take power and then come for their guns.

If any of their partisans have a lick of sense, they might be nervous about payback when the Dems take over again.

I doubt the power Republicans are afraid tho, since they still control the redistricting process, and the voting machines.

Those mean Democrats will flood the airwaves with $50M. However, since AM radio is pretty much a 24/7/365 "in-kind" contribution to the Republican Party, I think the Dems need even more money. I'm stroking a check to the DNC today.

I'll even make a deal with the Repukes, remove Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levine, Neal Boortz, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reily, Glen Beck, and every "cookie-cutter" local Republican promoter and apologist from radio and TV for the next 4 months, and I may stop giving money to the Democrats.

39. Boston Tea Party
Attention Patriots! On December 16, 1773, the Sons of Liberty, a group of 150 residents of Boston lead by Samuel Adams stormed Griffin’s Wharf and dumped 342 crates of tea into Boston Harbor, an act of rebellion known the world over as the Boston Tea Party.

In honor of their action, and in order to signal to the current King George and his cronies that the November Revolution is at hand, we call on all GOOD PATRIOTS to send tea to D.C.! That’s right, it’s TEA PARTY TIME!!

Save those used tea bags, ladies and gentlemen, and put them to a NOBLE CAUSE. Send your tea bags to the Republican National Committee at 310 First Street, SE, Washington DC 20003. Let’s dump our tea in their laps!!

45. Could this have been deliberately sent to Democrats
as a ploy to convince them the Dems don't need anymore money? Something smells! I really don't think the Dems have raised more than greedy Repubs! They may be desperate but they're still snakes!
