Paris Hilton, asked in London if she "fancies" Tony Blair: "Who?"
London Evening Standard: Paris: 'Who's Tony Blair?'
By This is London
2 August 2006

Finger on the pulse: Paris Hilton

Celebrity rich girl Paris Hilton has demonstrated her grasp of world affairs by asking: "Who's Tony Blair?"

The hotel heiress said she would not recognise the British Prime Minister. Asked by GQ magazine if she fancied Tony Blair, a confused Hilton replied: "Who?"

After giving it some thought she said: "Oh yeah... he's like your president?" Then she admitted: "I don't know what he looks like."...

Elsewhere in the interview, the 25-year-old socialite revealed how much money she rakes in.

Her empire includes perfume and cosmetics lines, shoes and hotels, and she is paid millions to make personal appearances.

"I've made, like, 200 million dollars (£107 million) in the last year, while J-Lo's only made 150 million dollars," she explained....

7. Yes, but I beg for her to enjoy a "real to life Twilight Zone"
Where say, she cleans corporate offices and bathrooms on the night shift. What a waste of good oxygen as well as a picture-perfect poster child PROMOTING hefty Estate Taxes. ;)

2. Sadly...
It is glaringly apparent(and more so every time she opens her mouth) that Ms. Hilton is not, I repeat NOT the brightest bulb in God's Chandelier.

Hence, it would be wise for everyone who is waiting for her to solve the thorny problems of Cold Fusion to find something else to occupy their time.

4. ROFL
Either she's a complete dumbass or a brilliant actress. I'm prone to believing the former, but I'm not 100% convinced.

16. More than likely she had that answer waiting, to avoid a political dispute
What better way to get out of the whole Iraq debate and pretty much skip the whole Israel thing, too. Ask Mel Gibson right now whether he thinks he's smarter than her.

I can't tell whether she's faking, either, but I'm prone to believe the opposite of what you do. She has entertainment in her blood. Her mother and aunt were actresses. Her aunt was Tia in the Witch Mountain movies, and knows Hollywood and the entertainment world. And is fery smart. If Paris is dumb, it's not genetic. I personally think she just took good image-consulting advice, and she's playing the world for a sap. Reminds me of Marilyn Monroe.

5. Her whole media persona is based on being a dumb blonde
so it's unclear how much of this is a put on.

Personally, I think she's probsbly pretty shrewd. After all, she didn't decide to sit on her ass until some other rich kid asked her to marry him, the usual career of a rich girl. She went out and decided to become an entertainer, and she apparently does entertain quite a few people out there.

I just don't think she needs a welfare program. I don't think any child born to wealth and position needs welfare, but they all get it. The government doesn't need to add to what their families have already given them in terms of position, contacts and entitlement.

18. Um, do you mean "know" nothing? Cause I don't think she says "no" often.
 And I'd bet money she knows who Tony Blair is. That's just a cute little way to charm her audience and avoid a political discussion. Maybe. Actually, I have no clue.

19. She also claims in the same article she's only had sex with a few people
Hilton became infamous when a videotape of her having sex with her then boyfriend was posted on the internet.

But she declared: "I've only done it with, like, a couple of boyfriends. People think I sleep with everyone, but I'm not like that. I like kissing, but that's all I do. I'm not having sex for a year, I've decided. I'll kiss but nothing else."

Riiiiiiiiiight.

22. "I've made, like, 200 million dollars (£107 million)
in the last year"...

Hmm. The UK Sunday Times did a profile of her a few weeks ago that said she made four million dollars last year according to Forbes magazine (and in my view that's four million too much). Seems Miss Hilton has a loose understanding of her finances.

200 million my ass.

In the same profile Hilton also says of herself:

“I think every decade has an iconic blonde — like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana — and right now, I’m that icon.”

In your dreams, cupcake. You don't get to declare yourself an icon; it doesn't happen that way (although I guess people who buy their own fame believe it does). People will still be talking and writing about Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana when Paris Hilton has been consigned to the dustbin of history.
