Rummy blinked. He's at the Armed Services Com. Hearing - CSPAN
I thought he had a scheduling problem. Hillary sent him a letter and he's been getting his tush handed to him on various editorial pages and cable news programs.

Chickenhawk blinked.

Anyone else watching Rummy & the Brass explain why they need to stay in Iraq till Jesus comes?

Made for lots of good media sound-bytes for the constituents back home.

Rumsfeld must have just now set a record for the straight number of rhetorical questions he framed and answered of himself in a row. Pure control of the "dialogue". You know the device:

Are things going from bad to worse in Iraq? You bet. Should I be fired right here and tarred and feathered and thrown in the Potomac? Certainly. Do I think any of you jokers in this room will ever possess the balls to do that? Not likely.

2. I've been listening; pretty bland so far. I want fireworks!
Actually, I just want someone to tell the truth instead of spinning everything.

4. No, he winked, not blinked.
Alberto gave him a get out of jail free card,
George gave him a signing statement precluding any perjury charges
Condi gave him a kiss while she was on her knees.

5. is he under oath, wont mean anything anyway because he didn't sign his oath
of office, that way he can resign and only be charged with a misdemeanor impersonating a sectary of defense.. neat little loop hole..

6. If this hearing is about Iraq, why the HELL does Warner keep
bringing up Lebanon? He's following that old distraction mode.
