GOP Donors funded Entire PA Green Party Drive....except for $30!!!
By Paul Kiel - August 2, 2006, 4:00 PM

The Luzerne County Green Party raised $66,000 in the month of June in order to fund a voter signature drive. The Philly Inquirer reported yesterday that $40,000 came from supporters of Rick Santorum's campaign (or their housemates). Also yesterday, we confirmed that another $15,000 came from GOP donors and conservatives. Only three contributions, totaling $11,000, remained as possible legit donations.

Today, I confirmed that those came from GOP sources.

- The Green Party listed a $1,000 check from a Bill Wickerman of Covington & Burling. There is no such person. However, a Bill Wichterman works there. He's a Republican lobbyist who has also given to Santorum this campaign.

- James Holman, who in the past has supported GOP House candidate Howard Kaloogian, Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS), and Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ), was incorrectly listed by the Greens as "James Howmen." He disclosed that he was an editor at the San Diego Reader; a James Holman is the publisher there.

2. This is seriesly hugh! A vote for Green is a vote for Red.
These fuckers are evil, we must never forget that. They don't think like normal humans. They are constantly on the lookout for a way to SCAM their way to power.

4. IMO, Green party is worse for taking the money.
Unless there's something I need to learn here, how do they get off accepting this?

6. They're zealots.

They don't care where the money comes from, only that it furthers their cause. :eyes:

They are too blind to see they are being used as pawns to advance the neo-conservative agenda.

5. Does this come as a shock to anyone?
Need any more proof, greenies, that your party does far more harm to your cause than good?

7. So how come wealthy Democrats aren't funding Constitutionalist
Party candidates to run third-party against the Republicans?

This is war and all's fair in love in war.

9. Wealthy democrats know that wealthy republicans controll the game now
Ever wonder why people still dump gobs of cash into the GOP, knowing full well that its crimes are unravelling, it's sham war exposed, it energy manipulation revealed, etc, etc, etc? Because the GOP know that their criminals will actually get away with it. They're very good at this election-stealing thing. They've had practice. It takes a lot more confidence in the Democratic Party's abilities to play hardball before any smart millionaire is going to fund this fight.

10. I need no further proof...
...than being personally aquainted with a right-wing zealot that, every election cycle, disingenuously goes out of her way to boost Green party candidacies specifically for the purpose of, in her words, "draining the swamp". Being able to "play conservative" has its uses... And these people's tactics are vile. And like their hero Bush, winning by any means necessary, sheerly for the purpose of advancing their agenda of being frightened little piggies, oh, I mean puggies, is perfectly acceptable.

13. That's pretty amazing. Changing the names is illegal
There's a reason for disclosures, and this is one of them. Someone should be looking into why these two names were mispelled. I bet they were spelled right on the checks.
