Does anybody speak Thai?
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 12:18 AM by Generarth
Ramzi Binalshibh posted to this Thai bulletin board on 18th Sep, 2544. (that's 2001)

http://www.kapook.com/hilight/6/2184.html

His post is #1902, a rough translation of this post is,

"The United States of America needs to find the criminals who did this quickly. It is dangerous for the world."

Can somebody give a more detailed description of the conversation, especially after his post, did anybody look like they knew who he was?

BTW their IP numbers are quite visible on the page if you "select all". His IP number puts him here on Sep 18th, 2001.

1. The closest I can find on-line is this site

http://www.thai2english.com/

Our site is designed to assist in learning the Thai language, or in translating from Thai to English. We have a comprehensive Thai <> English dictionary containing over 30,000 entries, searchable in English, Thai script or transliterated Thai (Thai words written using roman letters). Each Thai word is automatically transliterated and includes tone marks for each syllable.

Automatic Thai to English translation is under development, although it's not currently available. In the meantime, our system will automatically seperate out the Thai words and provide a quick integrated dictionary lookup of each word, making doing a manual translation of a Thai text easily possible even if you know no Thai at all.

To get started, type or copy-and-paste Thai text into the box below (non-Thai text entered will not be changed). If you only need to look up a single Thai or English word at a time in the dictionary you can use the text box above instead.

Alternatively, you can enter the URL of a Thai webpage instead. We'll then show the webpage in it's original form, but with definitions and transliterations of each Thai word that appear when you position your mouse over them.

You enter a phrase or URL and then have to go word by word and then figure it out.

2. Thanks tried, but still wouldn't mind someone with some Thai having a look
It works ok, but putting the url in only translates about a third of that page and doing it by cutting and pasting is a little difficult because it gives you so many options. You can get the gist but not the feel.

Thanks anyway.

3. If I find something better
I'll let you know.

I tried it myself before I posted it. It seemed a little cumbersome.

good luck!
