Standing on their own, Venezuela and Bolivia can aid the Cuban people
These last few days after the reports of Fidel Castro’s abdominal operation, and his handing over of power to his brother Raul Castro, seems to been cause for celebration by anti-Castro groups in the United States of America.

They have jumped to the conclusion that things in Cuba will return to the good old days of US-sponsored regime like the Batista brothers.

---snip---

With all its flaws, the present system in Cuba is still better for the common people of Cuba than any country, which has been, touted a democracy by the United States of America ... because the term "democracy" today (when used by the Western press), only means a country under US domination ... there is doubt that the people of Cuba want a return to yesterday and corruption.

Remember that Cubans were slaves of the USA, as governments that were elected were only representative of US interests. The Cuban revolution brought great changes, in education, and health ... these had been denied to the Cuban people for ages, and their lot was not to be envied. Today, with Latin Americans gradually getting control of their own countries there is hope for the Cuban people.

1. No matter what the Cuban Americans now say...
Cubans today have a better life than under Batista.
