Evidently, New Jersey Learned Nothing from Katrina
Just watching the local news. There was a story about a power outage in Montclair, New Jersey. The report featured a woman and her dog who were sweating it out in their apartment with no power and the temperature hovering around 100 degrees outside. She told the reporter that she was staying there because there was no place to go that would allow the dog.
A New Jersey Transit bus was standing by in her neighborhood so people without power could get aboard and cool off. They would not allow the dog to board the bus!
Obviously, New Jersey learned nada from Katrina and the disastrous policy regarding family pets. I am appalled. :grr:
