Are the Lebanese who flee now comparable to the Palestinians?
I am referring to the Palestinians who "voluntarily" fled Palestine in 1948? "Voluntarily" fleeing in order to avoid bombs and bullets?

1. No
They have a homeland.

The Palestinians ... not so much.

3. Yep, and I'm expecting their flight to be deemed voluntary or
blamed on them any time now.

If they are allowed to go back home later, that may not be so, but I would expect they will not be allowed to.

At least there are other parts of Lebanon for them to be in - they would not end up stateless.

5. "State" is a useless word here. Isrealies come and go in whenever they
want. No navy, no air force.

6. Here's something interesting and ironic about your question
After the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict, Lebanon became home to more than 110,000 Palestinian refugees from their homes in present day Israel.
