yet, today there were a record number of rockets launched into Israel. I swear, yesterday they were set to declare victory over Hizbollah.
How has Israel's campaign made their country more secure? Obviously the information about destroying 70% of Hizbollah's capability was wrong or misleading. The Lebanese killed don't seem to have had any substantial impact on Hizbollah.
If anything, their actions have drawn the population there to some sympathy for Hizbollah and a further mistrust and animosity toward Israel. Still. the Israeli leadership presses on with their folly . . .

BAALBEK, Lebanon (AFP) -
Police said at least 190 rockets had slammed into northern Israel in what was by mid-afternoon already the biggest single-day barrage from Lebanon since the Jewish state launched its offensive against Hezbollah on July 12.
At least 36 rockets struck populated areas, killing at least one person and wounding 19 others.
The barrage came a day after Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert said the offensive had significantly weakened Hezbollah.
"Today, the threat posed by Hezbollah is not what it was. It can no longer threaten this people, as this people have stood up to it and have come out victorious," Olmert said late Tuesday.
