Callers on C-SPAN jump down the throat of Senator Grassley
No doubt, he was surprised at the animosity directed toward him and his Party this morning. Being a former blue-collar worker, he is sent out by his Party to sell all the give-aways to the rich. And he marches forward like a good soldier.

But, this morning, they took him to task over the estate tax, the "obscene bill" that they passed to add the minimum wage to, and Social Security theft of over $1 trillion dollars in the last 6 years. If there is any justice in the world, and if these calls are any indication of what the people are thinking, then the Republicans are in deep doo-doo come November.

3. It was so refreshing to hear that people 'get it' rather than
showing their usual display of blind allegiance.

4. Senator Lawnmower deserves every bit of criticism he gets and
I promise I will continue to do my best to vote that nasally sucker out of office. He believes that the superwealthy should be protected species, and the only family farm he's worried about is his own.

7. No actually we can't agree to that
unless Lieberman became a repunk - but Lieberman professes to be a Dem....

8. Lots Of Senators Are Worse Than Lieberman
That doesn't make him acceptable. But clearly he's better than someone like Frist or Grassley. It doesn't take much to surpass them in terms of value.

9. Yes and no.
At least we know Grassley is the other side. Lieberman puts a "D" behind his name on the Senate roster.

10. The callers were brutally honest!
One woman said that she wished he had to live on the current minimum wage and he said ".. but we're raising it."

Right, I'm sure the senator could live really well working full-time for less than $8 per hour. :sarcasm:
