CNN floating notion that Castro is Demised.
They've been saying that despite this morning's communication supposedly from Fidel himself saying he's okey dokey, many suspect that he has already croaked.

Who knows, maybe he is.

1. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss
Nothing will change in Cuba, at least not in the short term. But the new guy is 75 and has his own health issues.

Who knows? Maybe the mobsters will get their casinos back soon.

I know it was you, Fredo. You break my heart.

5. According to the plan, Raul will only have the job for 6 months
(snip)

At the last assembly of the party they added an amendment to the constitution that in the event Fidel Castro for some reason gives up power or dies, his brother Raul will take over for six months. Within that six-month period, they have to call for a meeting of the Central Committee of the party. That Central Committee will then choose the new leadership. I would expect that because Fidel Castro is such a huge figure in Cuba the vacuum he's going to leave is going to be very hard to fill. Probably they'll have some kind of collective leadership out of the Central Committee of the party. Which, by the way, is made up of relatively young men. There are only four or five of the old historical figures there. But everybody else is around 50 or 55 or younger. Those people have a new vision of what Cuba should be about. They will probably move quickly to integrating themselves into the overall international picture, communications, globalization, the whole thing the 21st century is about.

3. jebbie and dubbie are salivating
Instead of peaceful holding out of the hand, look for something worse.
I saw some Cuban Americans screaming at the camera, that he is already dead.
I don't buy it and I feel Castro may have been a totally different leader had the US not cold shouldered him all these years. I don't love him, but I feel the US has been stubborn to say the least. Poppy wanted invasion years ago and this is what led up to the assassination of Kennedy.

4. A concentration of a passionate group of people who have fantasizedl
for 47 years is a formidable sight. Partying because someone is sick is not so classy and very untimely. So who are CNNs sources?

7. Rick Sanchez got the story straight from the Versailles restaurant.
The Versailles restaurant is a Miami staging point/hangout for the hardline exiles who hit the streets with their talking points.

6. I Predict...
Fidel Castro will be dead within 25 years. I'll bet I'm right, too. Check back with me in 2031 (when Castro would be 105) to see if I'm right. :sarcasm:

Sheesh...like it's shocking that an 80 year old man is suffering physical problems. Look at the difference this coverage is getting vs. that of Sharon...who most of us knew the moment we heard he suffered a cerebral hemorage, his days were numbered. CNN tried to spin how there was hope he'd "come out of the coma" and be back at the helm...something that was a total lie as they knew the extent of his stroke at the git-go.

Again...another Rovian distraction under way folks. This pushes Iraq, high gas prices, a corrupt government and enabling corporate media further from the front pages.

Now would CNN have similar coverage if this were an American leader who was disabled? Showing mobs in foreign countries dancing in anticipation of that person's demise? Just wonderin'...
