Three Villages Completely Destroyed by US Bombers in Afghanistan

Publication time: 1 August 2006, 10:04

<snip>Fighter jets of the American and British invaders in the principality of Musa Qala in Helmand executed a bloody slaughter of peaceful Afghan civilians. The bombing struck three villages and killed dozens of women, children, and the elderly. The report states: "A large number of the dead are still under the ruined building;, the ones who survived are still struggling to pull them out. According to an eyewitness, the bombing was so intense that water came out of the ground. Holes were forty meters in diameter. The three villages were completely destroyed."

1. From the Taliban's mouth to my.....
ASS.

I guess this results from people thinking the answer to "I can't believe what the US is telling us" is to believe ANYTHING from ANYBODY else.

4. back in the days leading up to the invasion of Iraq...
Edited on Wed Aug-02-06 12:57 AM by mike_c
...people challenged me for my opposition. I said that there were no weapons of mass distruction in Iraq, that Iraq had disarmed by the early nineties. Posters here, on DU, asked "who do you believe-- Saddam Hussein or the government of the United States?" I said that I believed Hussein, and was vilified for it by a number of DUers. You might even have been one of them.

But I was right. Saddam Hussein was telling the truth, and the U.S. was lying-- and had been lying for over a decade.

Now the question becomes "do you believe the Taliban, or the U.S. government?" One has already been proved a liar. I haven't decided about the other yet. But nothing the U.S. goverment tells us can be trusted. I know that for a certainty.

2. I wonder how much of this is really true.
Unfortunately, I think it is pretty much so.

That is one disturbing article.
