The Israel-friendly media in Canada that echos Harper and Bush angers me. They all want the war to continue. The victims are the bad guys here now. The munitions being used don't compare, yet we're constantly reminded about the "thoudands" of rockets Hezbollah has fired. Would it kill a reporter to try and find the number of missiles and shells Israel has fired, just for a little perspective?

The destroyed infrastructure and human habitat angers me. The pictures tell the story. Lebanon is flattened and 1/3 of the population is displaced.

I'm angry because I can recognize there's an underlying goal here, just like Putin said. The US is acting deliberately to stengthens Israel's hand, and Stephen Harper sounds like an echo chamber.

I'm drunk and I'm so fucking pissed off at Israel and those complicit I could spit.

But no, I don't think the Jews cause all the wars.

And PLEASE DO NOT ask me how I feel about Hezbollah actions. I am done qualifying my anger for the neo-con apologists.

  Write a letter to the editor, call or write a representative (send it via U.S. Mail), start a conversation at a bus stop, a book store, go to a rally (I believe ANSWER is putting one on soon).

  In the mean time, if you're drunk, at least enjoy it. Remember, you're drinking to make your cares go away, at least for a moment. I know it's hard, I preach this stuff but after a beer or two sometimes it can be very hard not to turn one's mind to saddening matters. Just remember, you're toasted so...enjoy the buzz while it lasts. You will have to deal with the same stuff when you come down so why not think of something else and really put the buzz to good use?
