I love the SCREECHING EAGLE on Colbert Report's Intro Montage

When the eagle comes at the screen with it's mouth and claws open at the end of his intro montage, I always chuckle. He is the perfect representation of our vacuous and corrupt American media.

who originally raved about The Colbert Show "he's one of us!" (really) should have at least been tipped off by that eagle.
But, no. They bought the show. That thread at Free Republic was amazing. One lone poster kept writing "he's mocking us!" But was drowned out by the number of posts cheering Colbert.
It's the over the top nationalistic eagle for our over the top nationalistic administration.
I bet Bush loves that eagle, too.
