1. Joementum's brother from another mother
He's a smug little prick who is cast as a "liberal" on many TV punditfests but does nothing but trash democrats. Very pro Iraq was, sucks up to the puke pundits. Appears to be among the prime demographic for service in Iraq but shows no inclination to enlist.

2. Thank you! So he should enlist but is a chickenshit, all talk, no
action.
Can't wait to see Monsieur Colbert tear him a new one!

3. He's the one who blames "liberals" for everything...
He is a war hawk who writes for the TNR. The DLC is now giving away subscriptions to the TNR for a year to their members.

4. Seems he's changed his tune, at least for Colbert!
"dimson was wrong to go into Iraq" is the new mantra!

6. He says we are not strong enough on National Security.
He probably is trying to woo us back. A lot of people cancelled subscriptions because of his hawkish articles.

8. Another establishment figure
He sells himself as someone with a great, new, smart way to battle terror but he didn't mention many of the key conditions that breed terror in that interview. Poverty, suppression of women, etc. are root causes the establishment will talk about but the political conditions that foment terror are conveniently ignored by the establishment. Until we deal with those issues we will never have a serious anti-terror strategy.

9. Any issue that foments terror is embraced by 'this' establishment,
administration. If we can get rid of that, the dialogue will change.

12. Editor of the New Republic
Supported the war in Iraq initially but has changed his mind. To give him some credit he admitted he was wrong and that it would have been better if we had never gone in and he said that Bush has done nothing domestically.

But it's hard to forgive such poor judgment. His ideas regarding humanitarianism in the Muslim world sound nice on the face of it, but usually if one takes a closer look, it borders on neoconservative "Imperial America" hubris.
