I thought that maybe Gonzales issued a warning to people who positioned our pResident as inhuman---thus making it difficult for him to govern.

It's not like it's a stretch to think that! Especially with this administration's loose definition of "enemy combatant" that renders most of us fitting into that category, according to the Patriot Act.
