Not even idiot conservatives can deny global warming now.
Have you noticed the rhetoric has changed to, "OK, there's global warming, but we're not causing it. How arrogant are we that we think anything we do can destroy the planet?" You were wrong that there was no global warming in the first place, so why are we going to listen to you now?? These people haven't even tried to inform themselves about climate change. Listen, do you agree that it would screw up the planet if the human race set off all the nuclear devices we have tomorrow? Well, then you agree we can affect the planet. Sit down and shut up. I'm sick of 102 degrees every day. I'm sick of paying $2.95 a gallon. I'm sick of reading about 2 of our boys dead in Baghdad every day and I'm sick of watching the deficit clock spin out of control every day because conservatives are too block headed to admit their ideas are WRONG. And I'm sick of people that keep voting for those jokers because they want someone to tell them everything is fine instead of someone to fix the problem.

1. Actually, I've seen plenty of them still try to deny it.
The "global warming is a myth" crowd still seems quite vocal.

8. Could be.
The rhetoric from the die-hards doesn't seem to have shifted much, in either case. They're the new flat-earth society.

2. They will deny it as the rising ocean sweeps them away..
They will be muttering about how the chimp says its not happening, so that's the final word.

"God bless President Bush!.....glug...glug...glug......."

3. It doesn't matter what caused global warming
We still need to try to take actions to correct the problem.

The RW'ers have no argument at all.

6. Sure they can
It's all part of a natural cycle. Nothing to worry about.

At least that's what they still say at this very moment.

Even on the Weather Channel. One of the weather guy said, basically, hey maybe it's global warning but no one can really know.

I'm figuring we are all doomed and am so glad I don't have kids to suffer through this.

7. "natural cycle" is admiting global warming.
That's the 'yes, there's global warming, but we're not causing it' argument I was talking about.

9. Can't even talk with the repubs
Edited on Tue Aug-01-06 10:02 PM by blue cat
about it, because they get so damn defensive about it. They won't admit that the repubs have caused the most damage with their policies.
