Eureka!
A fictional town created in the 40's as an uber think tank. great new show on SciFi and it makes you wonder...

Could something similar exist?

Fun food for fodder while we take a breath from the harsh realities that have been killing us all emotionally.

3. This made me think of the UK's Mass Observation project.
Strikingly similar (minus the Potemkin Town). A vast, relentless surveying effort covering thousands of people, possibly the most ambitious attempt to define a whole country ever undertaken anywhere.

4. I went grocery shopping in Eureka today....
It's the closest medium sized town. I can't watch the SciFi channel's version, but speaking as someone who lives here, I cannot image why they didn't film it here. Eureka CA is a pretty surreal place. Not very photogenic I suppose, but definitely a creepy otherworldly sort of place....
