1. He would be the one to lead the "neutral" NATO force in Lebanon.
"If confirmed by the Senate, General Bantz Craddock will succeed Marine Corps General James Jones as commander of US forces in Europe, as well as NATO, which has approved his nomination.

Craddock, a former chief military assistant to US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, heads the US Southern Command, which oversees the US "war on terror" detention center at Guantanamo Bay, as well as US military operations in Latin America.

An armor officer, Craddock commanded an armor battalion during the 1991 Gulf War and was the commander of the US force that entered Kosovo after the 1999 NATO air war with the former Yugoslavia.

He served as Rumsfeld's chief military assistant from 2002 to 2004, key years that included the aftermath of war in Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq."

2. Classic. When someone screws up, promote him!
When the BFEE is concerned, my first thought is you promote them to ensure their silence and complicity.
