not from Israel.

1. It isn't you
Lebanon is being reduced to dust while Israel has a couple of pock marks.

3. But But those "rockets" fired at Israel have ball bearings....
packed inside to cause fierce injuries to the Heroic Citizens of the Israeli State....

5. Maybe. But they aren't hitting any targets so the damage inflicted
is very small. Believe me, if there was substantial damage it would be all over the news.

If the coverage seems one sided, it's because the war is one-sided.

2. That seems to be the case.
The only picture I've seen of a site where rocket hit in Israel shows a small crater in a building but nobody killed and nothing destroyed.

The devastation in Lebanon, however, is entire city blocks in size.

censored. You know, sort of like the US would do!

8. The PR value would be in releasing them to build outrage.
So that is what they would do.

If Bush could get PR value from showing our dead soldiers coming home in coffins then those pictures would be plastered in every newspaper and shown 24/7 on Fox. If Israel had pictures and could benefit from them, then we would be seeing those everywhere too.

9. IF there was damage the crybabies would show it.
This fight is David and Goliath. The rockets from Lebanon are no more than peashooters. The most the reporters could find were potholes a foot deep with damage to just one parked car.

If Israel loves war then other countries should arm the countries they attack and invade equally. They couldn't handle a fair fight and then they might stay in their "given" country.

20. I guess Hezbollah's money just falls from the sky?
since other countries don't "arm the countries [Israel]
attack[s]"? It doesn't cost Hezbollah anything to build
hospitals and social services agencies that are used (1) to
spread anti-semitism, and (2) as bases from which to launch
attacks, right?
And wtf is a "fair fight"? I guess it's fair to
"stay in [your] 'given' country" and wonder whether
some asshole will blow up your bus on your morning commute. I
guess it's fair to "stay in [your] 'given' country"
and wonder if your daughter will be blown up the local mall on
a Friday night. I guess it's fair to "stay in [your]
'given' country" while the governments of neighboring
countries deny your right to exist and call for your
annihilation. Oh, and please, for the love of [insert whatever
it is you love here], think about your metaphors a little more
carefully in the future - David slew Goliath, who, as a
Philistine, had come to conquer and enslave the Israelites.
sheesh

10. I think they would rather be able to show destruction
show that Hezbullah is causing destruction enough to validate their bombing in Lebanon.

:sarcasm:

As a diehard "Israel can do no wrong" sort recently said. If there was any big damage to show in Israel, it'd be looping on the cable news stations 24/7. There isn't. And yet, all the commentary still leaves the impression that the two sides are beating each other up equally.

And children who aren't dead.

Then you can see what Israel looks like.

14. Peashooter vs. .44 Magnum
The truth is that the Hizbollah rockets so far are more like peashooters ... only very rarely does a pea hit the target in the eye and cause any injury.

As compared to Israel shooting .44 Magnum at their targets ... something important is going to be bleeding every time.

Israel is a superpower with nuclear weapons, other weapons of mass destruction, and almost every high tech weapon American can give or sell it. Which is why -- in spite of what all the mainstream news media and all the establishment, elitist politicians in this country are saying -- Israel has the greater responsibilty and moral obligation to stop this wanton violence, killing and destruction.

What was it that Peter Parker's Uncle Ben said to him? "With great power comes great responsibility."

Israel needs to stop the 'ethnic cleansing' of southern Lebanon and the Bushites and neocon chickenhawks need to be told to 'bugger off'.

15. How come we're not seeing good news coming out of Iraq?
Why is it we always hear about a gun that a kid gets a hold of and shoots himself, but we never hear about the time when a gun is used to kill an intruder?

16. rockets ARE hitting Isreal, and there has been some damage
I what I understand is correct, but I think its a massive difference in scale.

entire blocks and villages are being flattened in Lebanon. Its a question of superior firepower.

18. what's the saying about knives and gunfights?
I disagree with Israel's response (and the US's), but I don't think it's necessarily a question of scale. There's a nefarious intent on both sides, and there's a playground mentality of who started what, but one side obviously has the resources to carry out the worst that a government can do and the other side's getting effed for the perceived failures of its government.
