Corporate Greed VS Nome, Alaska Residents
I rec’d this story from an environmentalist who asked me to post it on my Native Unity blog – http://nativeunity.blogspot.com

He, also, asked me to get as many viewers as I can to spread the word about the dangers to the Seward Peninsula people and environment from the use of a cyanide–leaching process the Alaska Gold Company proposes to use.

So, for additional coverage, I’m putting it on DU.

This story, bylined Diana Haecker, first appeared in the Nome Alaska Nugget on July 27th. Nome population – 3,590 as of the 2005 census.
