15. Interesting. According to the info at the site you reference,
it is not foolproof. But can be used as a guide.

I actually deliberately chose not to buy some feta cheese at Trader Joe's because it was clearly marked as a "Product of Israel." Even though it was slightly cheaper.

Choice. It's a beautiful thing.

Antiboycott Laws:

During the mid-1970's the United States adopted two laws that seek to counteract the participation of U.S. citizens in other nation's economic boycotts or embargoes. These "antiboycott" laws are the 1977 amendments to the Export Administration Act (EAA) and the Ribicoff Amendment to the 1976 Tax Reform Act (TRA).

34. Barcodes do NOT indicate a product's country of origin!
http://www.adams1.com/pub/russadam/new.html

Does the EAN number indicate the country of origin of a product?

No it doesn't. The 3-digit prefix code indicates which numbering organization has allocated the bank of numbers to the company. For example, a company may have it's headquarters in South Africa. The EAN organization in South Africa has the code "600", but all the products of the company may be manufactured in England. The English-made products would still have the "600" prefix code. The prefix code is a way to have 70-plus EAN member organizations issuing numbers without having to worry about duplicate numbers. A list of country codes can be found here: http://www.adams1.com/pub/russadam/upccode.html#countrycode

It is a boycott of Israeli goods that's in question, not a boycott of Jews. There's no branding with yellow stars, no nazi's involved, no death camps in the background. Get a grip and stop forwarding that url.

PS. I'm personally against this call for boycott.

Lets come out with products the same as those and call em, Freedom.... errrr.... Peace.... errr nm.

Lets keep track of the people who buy these products and make them wear yellow stars.

Once we know who they are lets round em up and make em live in the slums.

Then we'll ship em off to camps where we'll kill em by the millions (Six million or bust!)

And to make sure we keep track of em if they escape, LETS TATTOO THE SAME BARCODE OF THESE PRODUCTS ON THEIR ARMS! BRILLIANT!

..picking up every product, inspecting it cautiously for the demonic "729" barcode.

A store worker, in a friendly fashion, asks what they're doing...

"BEWARE THE 729!"

"What?"

"BOYCOTT ISRAELI GOODS!"

"Ummm...you won't find many Israeli goods here."

"NO! NO! I FOUND ONE EARLIER! FETA CHEESE, BITCH! CHECK THE SHOPPING CART, THE ISRAELITE CHEESE AIN'T IN IT!"

I mean, there's something creepily paranoid-psychotic about it--not to mention a tad anti-Semitic (or at least the impression of it), and a major waste of time. But maybe that's just me. But carry on with your boycott--I wish you luck.
