Do you have an automatic negative reaction to violence...?
No matter where it happens? No matter if it is a domestic dispute? No matter if it is with law enforcement? No matter if it is war? Is there something in your soul that tells you that this is "wrong"?

Or do you have a small ambiguity switch that you can turn on and off according to where the violence is coming from and the circumstances surrounding the violence? Is some violence acceptable to you? Or are you repulsed by all violence? And why are you willing to accept some but not all?

1. i personally see violence as a failure
to solve one's problems with one's brains. so, yes, i have an automatic negative reaction to violence always.

2. I don't know what you mean by violence
I really enjoyed Pulp Fiction, Once upon a Time in Mexico, A Better Tomorrow, and Last Man Standing, all of which had plenty of violence.

On the other hand if I see certain kinds of violence it upsets me - yelling at a child for example.

3. I think it's part of our nature
A tool that we've needed to get this far. Do we need it any longer? Not really, no. But that doesn't mean its not part of our 'skill set' as a human being.

4. Absolutely. I believe people resort to violence when they either
loose their self control, or haven't tried or can't think of a real solution the a situation.

5. Not absolutely, but it depends on how you define violence

Some people will only be stopped with aggression.

violence

n 1: an act of aggression (as one against a person who resists); "he may accomplish by craft in the long run what he cannot do by force and violence in the short one" 2: the property of being wild or turbulent; "the storm's violence" 3: a turbulent state resulting in injuries and destruction etc.

vi·o·lence n.

1. Physical force exerted for the purpose of violating, damaging, or abusing: crimes of violence.
2. The act or an instance of violent action or behavior.
3. Intensity or severity, as in natural phenomena; untamed force: the violence of a tornado.
4. Abusive or unjust exercise of power.
5. Abuse or injury to meaning, content, or intent: do violence to a text.
6. Vehemence of feeling or expression; fervor.

8. I abhor violence, of any kind.
It is wrong and unproductive. A base answer to problemsolving that perpetuates and gives rise to grievances.

9. Yes. But, it's strange how people decry it and condone it simulataneously
If someone posts a thread about someone setting a cat on fire, there is outrage, disgust, and calls for justice and/or vengeance.

If someone posts a picture of a child mangled by bombs/artillery/rockets etc, there are those who attempt to justify it.

I can find no rational justification for either.

brains.

11. No.
I enjoy a good fight whether it's in the ring or on the street. I love violent sports, movies, tv shows and books. Yes some violence is acceptable to me. A guy beating his wife is not violence I accept but if someone comes over and beats that guy down it's totally acceptable. I'm willing to accept justified violence, unjust violence I will not accept and I determine whether or not it's justified.
