1. Been watching it for about a week
Funny that they expect it to stay a tropical storm and not strengthen. The water is certainly warm enough and shear winds seem to have broken down considerably.

I wonder what the reasoning is.

4. Eh, I can't complain to much...
I mean, it's August and this is the first scare we've had. Compared to the last couple years, that's actually pretty good.

7. I was thinking the same thing...
however, "so far, so good" doesn't really make me think we can assume our good fortune will continue.

That said, all we can do is hope it will.

8. With The Way This Summer Is Going And The Extended Heat Wave....
I think that this will push the hurricane season out longer than in the past. Meaning - it might start later in the year and extend to later in the year on the waning end.

9. You can bookmark these two links as well
On the first link you can watch as the storms move across the Atlantic
Satellite imagery (worldwide): http://aviationweather.gov/obs/sat/intl/

With this link you can keep track of the hot spots in the Gulf where TS/Hurricanes are likely to gather speed and grow in intensity.

3. When will we learn? Posideon (as all of Olympus) is ROYALLY PISSED!
He warned us with those two hurricanes in Florida in 2004 what would happen if we elected the monkey again, now we must face the full brunt of the gods.
