1. Amzingly I came out as...
the postiion I have always taken:

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government

control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on

the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention

and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,

tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what

they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

Although my "red dot" was close more to the upper left of the square.

2. Liberal
LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

:) It's a label I know that fits me to a tee. :)

10. Nothing wrong with being a centrist...
It just means you are rational enough to choose. :)

11. "Centrist" on the quiz means differently than "centrist" in the US
In US politics, I often note "centrism" is often substituted for "center-right" political philosophy as opposed to being equally distant from advocating pure socialism or pure capitalism.

If you are a "centrist" according to the quiz, it most likely shows you aren't interested in experimenting with socialism like me, but you are not a rightwinger either like many Republicans in power, McCain included.

15. What part of the centrist square do you lean upon? Upper left part?
This is where I test:

8. I'm a "Liberal Libertarian" according to the quiz, and it appears to...
be consistent with how I view myself and what other tests indicate with me. Whenever I take the quiz on politicalcompass.org, I always come out somewhere in the left libertarian quadrant of the square. I've always considered myself a moderate libertarian socialist, somebody who favors, in laymen's terms, "voluntary socialism" and the ability of people to voluntarily organize to protect themselves from exploitation. I do not favor pure state socialism. That's too much central control.

If you want capitalism, I won't stop you, but your freedom to exploit and capitalize is limited by people who may not want to be exploited by you for your gain, and you should accept their wishes, not forcefully impose your views upon them. As a socialist, I will oppose you if you attempt to take away people's rights to choose to associate with one another in order to defend themselves against your exploitation.

12. On all these tests I float around the center. I generally approach the
left the more the test focuses on values and to the right the more actual policies are considered.

Centrist 33.00 %

Right (Conservative) 8.54 %

Libertarian 32.91 %

liberal here :)

EDIT ADD: Okay, a bare majority. The Libertarians are up there with almost 33%
