3. So I turn it on, and who do I see?
Not Ned Lamont,

But that freaking theocratic idiot, William Donahue.

Thanks to the OP for baiting me into throwing up all over my Happy Hacking keyboard.
:puke:

11. He said all the right things.....
He was just a bit uptight at the beginning, but who wouldn't be, being interviewed by Colbert. He loosened up about half way and did a very good job. The only time he stumbled was when asked about Israel. Thats not unexpected when asked about such a volatile subject.

17. it's that initial confidence that is lacking for many dems
Kerry, Dean, Hillary - they all talk with little passion on these shows, start to stumble, and appear wishy washy - when in fact they are much better than they appear on the shows.

8. Lamont did very well
I didn't expect he would do well with Colbert (very few do), but he held his own even though he was a bit nervous & practiced.

10. Lamont did very nicely
Rolled with Colbert's schtick, nailed his points. Good applause lines, nice statistics. Well done.

What he could have done better: talk more about domestic issues and initiatives. But that's OK. Came off well, and definitely came off as Senatorial.

14. I think a Colbert Lieberman interview would have been more
entertaining. But, Lamont did a good job. I thought he seemed more confident than he did in the debate.
