Assuming we survive the next 2 years, history will look back and laugh uproariously at us for our ignorance and naivety at buying into THE WAR ON TERROR.
We could call it The War on Conflict with just as much chance for success. Every human uprising since the dawn of time has employed some element of what our modern so-called sophisticates call "Terra". They ALL involve some form of pillaging, looting, burning, battles, civilian casualties, etc.etc. The Boston Tea Party was terrorism, as was burning the Gaspee. The War on Terror is a fools' errand, headed by the Biggest Fool of All. Somewhere in their delusional parallel universe, wars are fought by orderly brigades of cannon fodder, resplendent in their easily identified uniforms. Because that's how it looks when you play Stratego. It has never really looked like that in the history of the world.
The War on Terror is Bush's New Coke. It is a marketing campaign designed to ensnare the richest, most complacent, self-absorbed nation in the world in never-ending war for the enrichment of the military-industrial complex. It's all about the money. Does anyone one believe that George Bush and Dick Cheney would fight for ANYTHING based on Principle? What principles have they ever shown in their private lives? They follow the principle of self-enrichment, everything else is secondary
If Bush and Condi and the rest of the cabal are truly interested in "root causes", we can make it very simple for them. Poverty, Greed, Ignorance and Oppression are the root causes of all conflict. If we really wanted to win the War on Terra, we would ship medicines and butter as opposed to missiles and death.
