Lebanon: 225km of coastline. 25,000 tonnes of oil spilled by Israel.
And another storage facility with 20,000 more tonnes is on fire from Israeli bombing.

Why did they need to bomb a power plant anyway?

I read last night that 125km of the 225km of coastline has been contaminated by the sludge. Today some reports say 80km. No doubt the final figure will be higher than both, since it's still spreading and the other facility will no doubt explode if it's on fire.

5. Who knows why they did it. It wrecks the lives of fishermen.
They are seemingly bent on destroying Lebanon.

2. This is really terrible...
It takes decades to clean this stuff up. We're still seeing remnants of the EXXON VALDEZ spill almost 20 years later.

3. Well, that will really keep Hezbollah
from attacking Israel. Or is this just a big game of Screw Your Neighbor?

....I mean, how bad will it get before someone steps in? I don't care what it is, ceasefire, concessations, release of prisoners, whatever it takes. Hell, I'll even take a rapture.

7. 48 hour ceasefire now. Not enough time to clean up this ecological
disaster.

I just saw an Israeli apologist here saying Israel isn't trying to commit genocide in Lebanon. Oh, THANKYOU ISREAL!!

Of course if people can't inhabit the place you've destroyed then what do you call that? Not genocide, something else.
