When Are You Going To Pack?

Over the last few days I have heard more than once, “well, some 1000 years ago they owned the land.” Using that logic, most of us currently residing in the US are interlopers and we need to return the land to its rightful owners. So, when are you going to pack?

for one thing there is no logic in this statement.

For one thing, the natives of America did not believe that any PERSON owned any land. The land belongs to the Great Spirit not an individual.

So, by comparing an ancient group of battling tribes to people living here in America now that are most likely multi-cultural, where do we go?

We got to make it better here first before we "pack" for in fact, many of "we" have never left.

Next time someone trots out that little ditty--ask them how, exactly, they acquired the land (one can leave out all the biblical stuff as that isn't sound evidence for rational discourse)

The end result is that the land was conquered, a monarchy established, a monarchy divided, a people divided and conquered...

Hmmm.

By that logic -- conquest works. That is an ugly little lesson for them to learn.
