the man is known for being fair in both directions...attempts to be unbiased. His knowledge of the middle east is encyclopedic.
There are times when I don't approve of what he says or stands for...but he attempts fairness. He speaks from the perspective of an outstanding historian.

IMO his knowledge of the ME crisis is biased and profoundly unbalanced to unilaterally side with the State of Israel. Perhaps that's why he interprets seemingly every difference of opinion as anti-semitic?
