I'll say it: Hillary's Primary Opponent is just a better PERSON

Look at what Tasini was doing today. He was doing these kinds of things all the time since long before he ever decided to run for the Senate.

He cares for people. He works with them. He demands peace and justice; he doesn't run away to secret luncheons with Rupert Murdoch and to stop by a "Go Israel (do whatever you want -- no holds barred!)" rally on the way there.

He is a good man. He is like a DUer in his community sense and activist sensibilities. Hillary isn't. She isn't at all like I would say the progressive community is. He is one of us; she isn't.

I've been attacked often for endorsing Tasini over Hillary. I wonder why. Can't we have our freedom of choice in our Democratic primaries?

2. Opposition to gay marriage, illegalizing flag burning, opposition to
single payer healthcare.

I don't know why a progressive would choose her over Tasini unless they just like the name "Clinton" more.

She currently has about 1,000 times Tasini's campaign funds, so I don't expect her to lose.

But I don't feel right allowing her to slide by with Big Money as the face of the Democratic Party. Because she really isn't.

3. It goes all the way back to the lip service/instant fold on universal
heath care that she supposedly was so big on in '93. I have no respect. It takes a village my ass.

6. at this point, I would like to see just about any primary challenger win
in the senate in particular, the Democrats think they can throw people a token bone every once in while (or even make a half-hearted throwing gesture) and then go right back to bowing and scraping to corporate America.

Fuck them.

If they had done their job and represented the people who vote for them, we wouldn't be on the edge of an unnecessary world war, and our democracy wouldn't be crumbling before our eyes like the piece of toilet paper Bush's valet uses to wipe his master's ass.

7. If only someone without name recognition and money could win!
In any case, I hope he makes her talk about the issues and defend her represensible positions.

8. I love this headline on one of his blog entries . . .
Sen. Clinton: Violence OK, as long as it's not in video games

http://www.tasinifornewyork.com/node/672

The Daily News political blog reported today that Hilary Clinton is asking around for volunteer spokespeople to speak out about the importance of decreasing violence in video games as part of her new initiative on this topic.

The gaming blog that the Daily News cited said that, "One of Clinton's brainbursts is to try and add a special tax to video games, sorta like what a lot of states do for cigarettes. The profits from the tax would then go to a child advocacy program."

Isn't it slightly ironic that Senator Clinton is advocating to decrease violence in video games at the same time she votes for sending more troops to Iraq and condones Israel's attacks on Lebanon and Gaza?

10. He has exactly 1000 times less campaign funds
But maybe a grassroots campaign can topple the incumbent.
