Bottle Of Tequila Sells For $225,000
Distiller Tequila Ley said it has sold the world's most expensive tequila. It's a gold and platinum bottle of Tequila Ley that went for $225,000.

The company isn't disclosing the name of the buyer, but a statement from Tequila Ley said it went to a collector of fine wines and spirits.

Tequila Ley CEO Fernando Altamirano said he is applying to the Guinness Book of Records claiming he has sold the most expensive bottle of liquor ever, but the book has to ratify the claim.

9. Anything rare is being bid into the stratosphere
meaning the rich are just passing the hoarded money around in the pursuit of one upmanship of their fellows.

It's called the law of diminishing returns, and it's an example of why no rich man EVER has enough.

14. Nothing like a shot of $230,000 tequila. Some people have too much money.

Others have too little.

19. Expensive bottle - but is the tequila special at all?
Making a bottle out of gold and platinum is cheating. How much would it have sold for in a normal glass bottle? Does teh gold and platinum affect the taste?
