Three Democrats in Congress wrote Monday to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice requesting the Department issue its semi-annual report, as required by the Iran-Syria Nonproliferation Act.
The signatories, Reps. Barbara Lee (D-CA), Ellen Tauscher (D-CA) and Edward Markey (D-MA), say the report is more than one month overdue. It's unknown why the report has yet to be released; the State Department could not be immediately reached for comment.
