Poll question: What's your favorite Air America weekend show?
These shows do get nearly as much attention, but I'm quite fond of some of them. For me, it's a really tough call between Radio Nation with Laura Flanders and Ring of Fire, with Ring of Fire eeking out a victory, largely because of the Pap Attack. :) What's your favorite?

1. And it seems a new show makes its debut today:
Air America Radio was launched in 2004 just ahead of the presidential election, with the aim of creating a forum for progressive voices in media. The station features 24 hour radio and internet programming ranging in arts, politics and activism.

THE TIME IS NOW, hosted by the Rev. Dr. James Forbes, Jr. launches this Saturday July 22, 2006 at 4 pm Eastern Standard Time, on Air America Radio.

-click here to hear why the show’s called THE TIME IS NOW

The Rev. Dr. James Forbes, Jr. is the Senior Minister at The Riverside Church in New York City and host of Air America Radio's THE TIME IS NOW, where once a week he discusses current news and talks with some of the most important voices in art, politics, activism, and faith.

The Riverside Church is an interdenominational, interracial, and international church, built by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. in 1927. Riverside has historically been a place where leaders take a stand, including: The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, Marian Wright-Edelman, Cornel West, the Dalai Lama, Arundhati Roy, Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton, among many others.

It doesn't sound quite British nor quite Australian. Is she a New Zealander?
