Another P2 type scandal brewing in Italy

Banker in food scandal is found dead after Opus Dei meeting
From Richard Owen in Rome

A BANKER who had been questioned over a huge corporate scandal was found murdered yesterday, having apparently been kidnapped on his way home from a meeting of the Roman Catholic organisation Opus Dei.

The body of Gianmario Roveraro, 70, had been chopped into pieces and hidden in a hut beneath a motorway bridge about 18 miles (30km) from Parma.

The gruesome discovery made sensational headlines in Italy, by chance drawing together two enduring elements of national life: a mysterious financial scandal and the influence of the Church.

3. similar circumstances

(ANSA) - Rome, July 19 - Former right-wing subversive Licio Gelli is under investigation in the murder of 'God's Banker' Roberto Calvi .

Gelli, 86, is suspected of commissioning the murder .

Also joining four suspects facing trial is former smuggler Silvano Vittor, police said on Tuesday .

Gelli's lawyer said his client was "amazed" at press leaks of a questioning session earlier this month .

The lawyer denied Gelli's alleged statement that police should "look to Poland" for those who ordered the banker's murder 23 years ago .

Four people face trial in October for the murder of Calvi, found hanging from Blackfriars' Bridge in London in June 1982 .

Roveraro's remains were found under a bridge as well.

Gelli was actually a Knight of Malta, not a freemason as most believe. P2 or Prpoaganda due lodge was formed to appear to be a freemason lodge but was actually a false-flag operation of the Knights of Malta in order to discredit Freemasonry.

My apologies to devout Catholics, but you have been had.

What's happening here, in Mexico, Venezuela and a lot of places where the ultra-right wing Opus Dei and Knights of Malta are trying to make sure you never have the right to vote and make decisions for yourself.

Middle Ages redux. Either fight for change or get used to it.

9. 500 years of their
exploitation in this hemisphere and people are still fooled. I saw through them before I was a teenager. They have overthrown more governments in Latin America than rational people care to count. Religion is oppression.

10. Death Squads in Central America
Edited on Sat Jul-22-06 06:18 PM by formercia
were the creation of the ultra-right. In 1982, I happened to speak to a case officer that had just returned from there. He was quite upset at what was going on. It turns out the war was not started because of 'marxist' insurgents but the death squads trying to drive squatters off land that the ruling families wanted to develop. The squatters were just trying to defend themselves from the death squads.

The war in Central America was a lie as was the Vietnam war, just like the war in Iraq and it's the same gang perpetrating it again. If it isn't one boogie man it's another. Time to stop this bullshit once and for all.

I would bet Berlusconi is soiling his silk panties about now.

"Mr Calvi is thought to have upset the mafia and the freemasons"
They are still trying to blame it on the freemasons when it was the Knights of Malta that were involved. The money that Calvi stole from the bank was used to paymaster Gladio operations. Many high echelons of the Mafia also belong to the Knights of Malta.

'God's banker' case re-opened
Italian banker, Roberto Calvi

Italian prosecutors have concluded the Mafia murdered the Italian banker, Roberto Calvi, who was found dead more than 20 years ago.

Prosecutors have named four people suspected of carrying out the killing, and they have been given 20 days to reply to the accusations or face formal charges.

The original coroner's report said that Calvi, who was found hanging under Blackfriars Bridge in London, had committed suicide.

He was known as "God's banker", because of his close links with the Vatican.

Those now facing a murder charge are Pippo Calo, a Mafia gangster already serving a long prison sentence, Flavio Carboni and Ernesto Diotallevi, described as go-betweens and Mr Carboni's Austrian girlfriend, Manuela Kleinszig.

Mr Carboni's lawyer, Renato Borzone, has already responded saying there is no proof Mr Calvi was murdered, adding that "prosecutors are relying on a phoney testimony by Mafia turncoats" to make their case.

ROVERARO: BANKER'S HEAD FOUND
(AGI) - Parma, Jul 22 - This morning Carabinieri forces in charge of the kidnapping and killing of banker Gianmario Roveraro (three people are already under arrest) found the head, the inferior part of the legs and the arms of the victim some 30 metres from where they found the rest of the body yesterday. The dead body was cut in pieces by the kidnappers, who subsequently abandoned the corpse without even burying it. These are the new macabre details of a crime which still shows several grey zones: investigators are now looking for the "prison" in which Roveraro was kept for several days and the exact modalities of the killing are still to be clarified.
