Get Ready, Here Comes A Full Out War That Will Include Us
Edited on Fri Jul-21-06 05:19 PM by Pawel K
I don't think Israel came up with this over-reaction spontaneously, Bush must have a role in it. The way I see it this whole middle east crisis is an excuse to get Bush to lead us in to another war. Israel ground troops are getting ready to enter Lebanon. As soon as that happens Lebanon has vowed to move its troops to defend the border. I think Syria will then get involved and Bush will drag us into that war. Turns another country on his country hit list in to a total shit hole. After that only two more to go.

3. I agree with you and there will be many apologists for all
sides who rush joyously into conflagration. It is unfortunate that * is turning the planet into a wasteland on many levels.

7. so true. I just can't help but focus my ire on who will be causing
the most death and destruction despite who is mostly to blame, which there doesn't seem to be a consensus on. well, there is a consensus outside the US but they get different info than we do. I found that out when i spent time in Amsterdam.

4. Yup
Israeli-Palestinian-Lebanese hostilities over the last 15-20 years were a lot of what inspired guys like Ramsi Yousef and Osama bin Laden to bring the fight to America (and don't get on me about LIHOP, because Yousef undeniably lit off that first bomb in the WTC).

This newest flare-up will inevitably and eventually be brought home to us here. The oceans are no longer a buffer, and our intelligence services (read: first line of defense) are like withered leaves on a sick tree.

So when it happens, Bush's popularity will hit rock-bottom. But you'll never know it, because we will go Red Alert after the next attack, which is martial law and the suspension of both habeas corpus and posse comitatus. The news will serve the interests of the state, and the interests of the state will be total control.

9. They need that Iranian oil. They need good reasons to steal it.
Even if they are backhanded, if that's what this mess is. Always watch to see who profits, regardless of the actions, however nebulous.

10. What would Moscow and Beijing do if the U.S. were to go after Iran's oil?
That's even more worrisome.
