Granted, that may be true. However, if the best he can do is the incompetent, embarrassing, and unsafe job he is presently doing, shouldn't he be criticized? Even more than criticism, shouldn't he resign and get the hell out of the way and let competent adults run the show? Wouldn't we be better off if he just resigned and left town tomorrow? Hasn't he done enough damage?

If there are those that wish to say he's doing a "great" job because we haven't been attacked since 9/11, what about on 9/11? Where was he at on that tragic day? If they are satisfied with the "low spark of high heel boys" and the "soft bigotry of low expectations", that is no excuse to make the rest of this nation suffer through their poor decisions for voting for and supporting this sorry excuse of a leader. Admit your mistakes and lets move on.

That's a sentiment I can't believe would have ever been applied to any other president this country has ever had.

Our president should be better than average. Our president should strive to know more than us, to operate more efficiently than we expect, and to surprise us with his tact and deftness.

Our president should wield the greatest military power in the world with humility and restraint. He should unleash it only with regret, but with confidence and surety that it will be done appropriately, as quickly as possible, and with as little harm to non-military targets as possible.

And when he fails at something -- and he will, regardless of his greatness -- he should come before his country's citizens and tell us of his failings, but assure us that his greatest desire is to learn from his failure and become a better leader because of it.

If he's seen as elite, intellectual, snobbish, superior -- so be it. Just lead this country well.

"He's doing the best he can" -- I'll save that sentiment for someone I pity, but not for someone who should rise to the highest standard in the world, a standard set by great men and women of the past, and hold his own, if not do more.
