The Israeli side of the argument, in a nutshell
Really, the only way to understand the Israeli side of the argument is that WHEN IT COMES TO ISRAEL, ANYTHINGS OK! That's their argument in a nutshell. Mass bombing civilians, torture, collective punishment, any number of excesses are perfectly fine. It is a new kind of supremacism, a kind of 'Israel uber alles' thinking and of course, it's opponents (few as they are) are branded as anti-semites.

This Israel debate has opened my eyes to a very un-PC fact: ethno-religious identity dominates one's views on really important matters. The same people that roundly condemn the US for excesses against Iraqis are more than ready to defend Israel no matter what it does.
