As long as there is anything that looks, smells or acts like America
in Iraq there will be no peace. I am not saying that if we pull out it will automatically be peaceful, I am just saying as long as we are there there will be no chance of unity among the Iraqi people. Just another reason for the US to bring the troop home. IMO

1. But..but..we have to "send a message" to Al-Queda.
Unfortunately, the message has been received.

By provoking a mindless response to 9/11, we have successfully sent the message(s) to the the world that:

1. America is willing to invade a hapless third world country and kill it's people.
2. That our greed for oil overrides any consideration for humanity.
3. That our president is a murderous idiot.
4. That our "peace loving" reputation is a pack of lies.
5. That our military is, at best, incompetant.
6. That we use, and justify, torture to achieve our ends.
7. That our much vaunted "democratic ideals" are a sham.
8. That we stupid enough to pursue a lost war (again) to save face.

etc, etc, etc.

4. every single one of them
and we as individuals, in the worlds view are just as guilty because of our complicity it all of this. I'm not sure how we can stop this criminal cabal but I feel the rest of the world think we should be able to and we are not doing that so we are lumped right in with the ones we so oppose. IMO

6. Iraq is the cradle of civilization
It has been around the block more than once and the USA is just learning to walk yet we have the arrogance to say we are going to teach them how to get along. I know...the answer is more guns..That is the American way anyway...
