Bush Turns First Veto Into Child's Play
By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

Wednesday, July 19, 2006

(07-19) 14:23 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) --

The somber tone of President Bush's first veto was somewhat betrayed by a little child's play at the White House.

The president was surrounded by two dozen children as he announced that he had rejected legislation that would fund more embryonic stem cell research. Those boys and girls were born from leftover frozen embryos that their parents adopted from families that had gone through in-vitro fertilization.

The White House sought to showcase the children rather than the veto itself, which Bush had signed out of sight of cameras and reporters.

The children had a hard time staying still and quiet.

One toddler sitting on stage kept lifting his baby blue blanket over his face and trying to play peak-a-boo with two men sitting in the front row — White House chief of staff Josh Bolten and presidential adviser Karl Rove. A little girl with two white bows in her hair kept kissing her daddy, who was wearing an American flag tie and was nodding in agreement as the president spoke.

7. Throw-aways
Maybe at the next press conference one of the useless reporters who usually report nothing but the company line could show * a container of embryos that will be thrown away and ask him doesn't it make more sense to put them to good use for the living instead of throwing them in the trash. Put it to him. No one ever dares confront him.

May he rot in the hell of Parkinsons. Alzheimers is too good for him- I want him to KNOW what's going on.

9. He will but at the end
he will suffer no matter what medical care he has because thanks to him there will no cure. I want him as sharp as is possible with that drunken brain of his.

Part of my family has been destroyed by Parkinsons and I want that monster to suffer for what he has done. Does anyone think he really cares about this stem cell issue? He could care less. He's paying back his demented supporters.
